Andy & Katie Douglas

across Japan and beyond.

Andy began sensing God’s calling to cross-cultural missions in 2011, and co-led three summer mission trips to Japan from 2015-2017. He joined Sunrise as an intern with the team in Sanda in 2017 and worked with the Thomsons in Sanda through mid 2020. Andy and Katie got married in 2020 and partnered with a church plant in Fujisawa in 2022 and 2023.

Andy now serves as Sunrise’s Operations Program Manager, overseeing the development, implementation, and improvement of organizational structures and systems that support Sunrise missionaries to abide in Jesus, make disciples of Jesus, and multiply churches across Japan and beyond.

The Douglas’ are currently based in the US and consider it their highest joy to daily abide in a love-relationship with Jesus and partner with Him to make disciples and see His kingdom come.
