Romans 6:8-14  How to be dead and alive in Christ?

  1. Having died with Christ, what does it mean practically to live with Christ? 
  2. What does it mean to “count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus?”
  3. What does the “Therefore” mean in verse 12?
  4. Summarize verses 12-14 in your own words.
  5. What does verse 14 mean, “Sin shall not be your master because you are not under law, but under grace?”

Romans 6:15-23  We are not slaves of sin, but slaves of righteousness.

    1. Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Why or why not?
    2. Explain verse 18: “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”
    3. What is our part in walking in righteousness?
    4. Give examples of fruit we bore when we were slaves to sin. What is the fruit of being slaves of righteousness
    5. Explain verse 23 as if you were explaining it to a friend?
